Navratri Special Food Festival Events in Delhi

Navratri beginning from October 16, 2012 literally known as nine nights. These nine days, also referred to as Navratras are considered the most auspicious, by all Hindus. This period is the prelude to the festival season and the air is rife with festivity. The tenth day of Navratri is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami, on that day Shri ram had killed Ravana. Fasting and feasting: Navratri is celebrated across  India and you can find lot of special food festivals in Delhi . In Gujarat and Maharashtra it is synonymous with swirling chaniya cholis, pulsating beats and the click of dandiyas and raas garba, in Bengal it is celebrated as Durga puja with great fervor and reverence. A display of idols for nine days, during Navratri, traditionally called 'kolu' marks the celebration across South India.
